Update:
In all of this God has been with us. We received spinal fluid results that showed no leukemia cells. This means she will have less spinal taps during her treatment. Thank you God.
Her bone marrow results came back and confirmed Pre B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). This is no different then the preliminary results. It is the most common form of Leukemia in children and she has a good chance, God willing , to fight this and win. Thank you God.
These past three days have been the toughest since being here. Not knowing anything, and having your baby say “I just want to lay down” and sleep all day. She has been in pain and we have been doing everything we can to keep her comfortable. I think her port is really bothering her… just the feeling of the tube in her neck is a weird feeling to her. She’s nervous about it. My poor girl.
She has had a fever, and doc’s don’t know if it was just a leukemia fever, a bacterial infection fever or a virus fever. She broke fever last night and we are hoping it stays down. She has been on antibiotics just to be sure it isn’t an infection. And since then her blood work has been okay.
Thank you for all your prayers. If I haven’t responded, just know I appreciate you reaching out. I’m leaning on God and your prayers throughout this time and I can’t express enough my gratitude for you all. Still praying for a smile from my baby girl. Praying for her to feel better and be her spunky self.. even if it’s just a little bit. I miss her. She’s the strongest 3 year old I know and I’m so proud to be her mom. #AmoraStong
