08/01/2023 - Part 2

Latest update:

We did not go into surgery today. We received pathology results yesterday but they were not definitive, so the plan was to go into surgery today to do the bone marrow biopsy to find that answer. The doctors have collaborated and discussed best path forward for us and it was not the original plan. We are now going to use the latest pathology results and move forward with next steps so that Amora goes under anesthesia one time for all procedures. We are awaiting confirmation of her blood transfusion tonight, but tomorrow at 8am she will get her platelet transfusion. Her platelets are at 17k, and we need them to be at least 100k. They will do labs after the transfusion to make sure she is where she needs to be and then we will go down to interventional radiology tomorrow at noon. She will be sedated for her MRI, and three procedures: her bone marrow biopsy, spinal tap, and port placement. Today I believe her eyes have gotten a little better, and I’m still praying that her eyes glisten a bright white. I am trying not to let this procedure get me worked up but I’m nervous. I have to remember that my God is bigger than all of this. Please God take care of our child while she undergoes these procedures and please lord provide me comfort tomorrow morning before, during and after the procedure. You are so good in all ways and I am trusting you. Please God provide us with good results and a smiling Amora on the other side of anesthesia. Please God take care of my baby girl. We know that chemo therapy is on the horizon but lord please help us navigate this process and find you in all our valleys. Amen.

I love you angel.
